Review of Uniform CPA Exam
|

| |
What is an exam score review?
An exam score review is the verification of a candidate’s Uniform CPA Examination
score. It involves making certain that the approved answer key was used and was
applied correctly. Because all exams undergo several quality control checks before
they are reported, a score review seldom results in a score change.
When do I request an exam score review?
The score review option is available to candidates who would like to have their
scores rechecked. The Uniform CPA Examination Score Review form must be completed
and submitted with the non-refundable fee for each section (as noted on the form)
directly to NASBA. Note that the option to apply for a score review is available
only for a short period of time after your score has been reported to you. See
submission deadline on the review form.
How will the exam score review result be communicated?
After the AICPA has conducted the score review, they will forward the results to
NASBA. NASBA will then forward the results to the candidate via regular mail.
If there has been a change in the candidate’s score, the results will be mailed
to the Arizona Board of Accountancy as well. If there has been no change to the
score originally reported, only the candidate will receive the score review
results. The score review results will be mailed at least eight (8) weeks after
the “submission deadline” date noted on the form.

What is an exam score appeal?
An exam score appeal initiates the appeal process, which provides Uniform CPA
Examination candidates with the opportunity to view test questions or simulation
problems that they answered incorrectly, along with their corresponding responses
for the current testing window.
When do I request an exam score appeal?
The appeal process option is available to candidates who would like to submit a written
challenge. The Uniform CPA Examination Score Appeal form must be completed and submitted
directly to NASBA with the non-refundable fee of $500 for each section. The appeal
sessions are conducted at NASBA’s office located in Nashville, TN. All costs
associated with going to NASBA’s office will be the candidate’s responsibility.
NASBA will contact the candidate to establish a date, time, and place to conduct
the score appeal. During the score appeal process, the candidate will be assessed an
additional non-refundable fee of $100 for each examination question for which he/she
chooses to submit a written challenge. Note that the option to apply for a score appeal
is available only for a short period of time after your score has been reported to you.
See submission deadline on the appeal form.
How will the exam score appeal result be communicated?
After completion of the score appeal process, NASBA will mail the results to the candidate
via regular mail. If there has been a change in the candidate’s score, the results will
be mailed to the Arizona Board of Accountancy as well. If there has been no change to the
score originally reported, only the candidate will receive the score appeal results. The
score appeal results will be mailed at least eight (8) weeks after the “submission
deadline” date noted on the form.
