The Arizona State Board of Accountancy is established by A.R.S. § 32-702 and consists of seven board members who are residents of Arizona and who are appointed by the Governor for five-year terms. Five members are Certified Public Accountants and two are public members.

 Richard Brandon Eggleston, CPA
 President
 Term expires July 3, 2027
Brandon is a partner at Ernst & Young, with more than 25 years of experience as a CPA. He has extensive public company and private company experience, with significant experience in SEC financial and reporting matters and integrated audits, and in health care accounting, mergers and acquisitions, tax-exempt bond financings, healthcare reimbursement, and Uniform Guidance. He is a licensed CPA in Arizona.

Brandon is a Board Member of the Arizona chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Brandon earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University.

 Christina C. Roderick, CPA

Christina is a Tax Principal at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), with more than 26 years of experience. Working hand-in-hand with mid-market businesses. Christina helps her clients maximize profits through smart tax structuring, merger and acquisition consulting, as well as plan for growth via credits and incentives and accounting methods.

Christina enjoys serving as a sounding board and solving tough problems for her clients. When giving carefully considered tax advice, she relies on her extensive experience and likes to approach issues from a variety of angles, enabling her clients to make decisions quickly, and with confidence.

She also enjoys sharing her expertise with local business associations and banks by speaking on such topics as business structuring, taxation, succession planning, and business incentives and credits.

Membership in Professional Organizations

Christina is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA). She has recently been appointed to the Arizona State Board of Accountancy after serving 13 years on its Tax Practice Committee, where she acted as both Vice-Chair and Chair. She has also volunteered with the ASCPA's Tax Legislation Review Committee.

As a professional committed to supporting her community, Christina is also a member of Arizona Business Leaders and serves on the Public Affairs Committee of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

Education and Professional Certifications

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University and a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) from Golden Gate University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed to practice in Arizona and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

In 2015, Christina was recognized by AZ Business Magazine as one of the Most Influential Woman in Arizona Business.

 Adela E. Jiménez, CPA

Adela is an accomplished CPA in Industry with extensive experience supporting Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations in finance and operations. As a consultant, she assists C-suite executives in decision-making by providing financial insights in strategic planning, organizational management, and re-engineering of financial and accounting services. Additionally, Adela is a sought-after career coach and currently researches emotional intelligence at The Research Center for Business and Corporate Development at the University of Montemorelos, Mexico.

Adela’s career also includes having served as Chief Financial Officer and Operating Officer for the Arizona Society of CPAs, where she contributed significantly to the profession’s high standards by representing the interests of CPAs throughout the community and collaborating with the State Board of Accountancy in writing and updating statutes and rules that govern the accounting profession.

Adela has degrees in Computer Science and Accounting, an MBA, a Ph.D. in Business Administration, and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Adela is a true people enthusiast and is passionate about reading, traveling, spending time with family, and spreading good news.

 Gregory S. Dawson, PhD, Public Member

Greg is Clinical Professor in the School of Accountancy at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He primarily teaches in the Masters of Accountancy and Data Analytics (MACC) / Masters of Taxation and Data Analytics (MTAX) programs, focusing on the use of advanced technology to solve accounting problems. His undergraduate degree is from James Madison University and his PhD is from the University of Georgia. He has won numerous teaching and mentoring awards and is extensively published on advanced technology topics.

Prior to becoming an academic, Greg was a Partner in PwC’s management consulting practice and was also a Director in Gartner’s state and local government consulting practice. He regularly consults with global organizations on accounting systems related topics.

Greg lives in Phoenix with his fiancée Dana and has two children that are ASU students and another that lives in Austin, Texas. In their spare time, Greg and Dana climb mountains (recently Mt. Kilimanjaro) and run marathons.

 Brian Foltyn, Public Member

Brian Foltyn is the Department Head in REDW’s valuation advisory practice. Brian also leads the REDW’s damage advisory & transaction advisory efforts. Brian has 28 years of professional experience in both industry and public accounting, which includes business valuation advisory services, strategic planning, dispute advisory, forensic accounting, and mergers & acquisitions.

Brian also serves in the United States Trustee Program as a Subchapter V Chapter 11 Trustee for the federal judicial districts established for Region 20: Kansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Prior to joining REDW LLC, Brian was with Plante & Moran PLLC’s Forensic & Valuation Services (FVS) Group and Doeren Mayhew’s Corporate Finance & Strategic Services Group.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College. He is designated as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).

 Joel Michael Ryerson, CPA

Joel is a partner at Deloitte with over 14 years of CPA experience, specializing as an audit partner within the financial services sector. He has served a diverse portfolio of public and private clients—including broker-dealers, financial institutions, real estate investment trusts and funds, home builders, and real estate developers—helping them navigate regulatory, reporting, and accounting complexities.

Joel’s expertise spans SEC reporting, risk assessment, business combinations, valuation matters, and complex accounting issues. Additionally, Joel provides advisory services to implement new accounting standards, deliver technical accounting research, lead controllership transformation initiatives, and strengthen ESG reporting and internal control frameworks.

As Deloitte’s representative for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Joel champions industry advancement and thought leadership, spearheading the firm’s eminence efforts with a focus on accounting guidance updates.

Joel holds an active Arizona CPA license. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Master of Accountancy from the University of Iowa.

 Peggy Hunter Ullmann, CPA

Peggy Ullmann is the founder of Ullmann & Company, a professional accounting practice she operated with passion for over 30 years. Ullmann & Company continues under the direction and management of her successors. Peggy remains active in the profession through her national volunteer activities, recently as a hearing officer for the AICPA Joint Trial Board and member of the Professional Ethics Executive Committee of the AICPA.

Over the years, she has participated in the direction of the profession, both nationally and in local tax and accounting policy and legislation. Nationally, she served as Director on the Board of the American Institute of CPAs and as the AICPA Federal Key Person Delegate for federal tax and accounting policy and legislation. She also served on the AICPA Council and strategic AICPA committees, including the Management of Accounting Practice and Private Company Practice Section planning bodies. She was a member of the AICPA “Group of 100”, a national strategic planning body for the CPA profession, charged with predicting and providing guidance for changes affecting the future of the accounting profession. She was a member of the faculty of the American Institute of CPA’s National Tax Education Program held at the University of Illinois. Within her home state, Peggy served as the Chair of the Arizona Society of CPAs and has represented Arizona CPAs before certain Arizona State legislative committees presenting information and response on a variety of accounting and tax matters. She served as Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Federal Tax Institute. She is the former President of the Arizona CPA Foundation for Education and Innovation. This foundation supports the CPA profession by encouraging the best students through scholarships and awards to university educators.

Peggy has provided tax and accounting services to many individual and business clients, from tax planning and compliance for individuals to consulting and strategy for closely-held business operations, including financial reporting, budgeting and planning, tax planning, transaction structuring and analysis, capital acquisition support, and IRS federal income and excise tax audit representation. She has provided consulting, tax and accounting services to certain regulated Arizona business industries, including privately owned, regulated water and sewer companies and Arizona based State Tuition Organizations.

She earned a Masters in Accountancy/Taxation and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Arizona State University where she graduated magna cum laude.
